BERNARD AND HUEY, a film by Dan Mirvish and Jules Feiffer, is a brilliant comedy with a screenplay by legendary Pulitzer/Oscar/Obie-winner Jules Feiffer (CARNAL KNOWLEDGE), based on characters from his long-running comic strip in the Village Voice. The project's Kickstarter campaign ends this Friday, July 3rd -- contribute before time runs out -- and in the meantime, check out the crowdfunding pitch video!
Feiffer and Mirvish spent three years just finding the script itself, which Feiffer wrote 29 years ago. Perks for contributors include a PDF of Jules' original hand-written script, tote bags, mugs, shirts & more with an exclusive drawing of Bernard and Huey by Feiffer. There is also an original invention called the "MirvishScope," a lens system that's a fun, cheap, new way for filmmakers to get cool shots.
Though BERNARD AND HUEY has reached its Kickstarter goal of $10,000, that's still nowhere close to what the team actually needs to make the film. All contributions are tax deductible, through a fiscal sponsorship with The Film Collaborative.
