Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani took to the stage on last night's THE VOICE to sing their new duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart". Check it out below!
Blake Shelton returned to "The Voice" in season nine with the incredible accomplishment of being the coach for four champions over the show's eight seasons. Season-seven winner Craig Wayne Boyd follows in the footsteps of past victors Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope and Jermaine Paul.
His credentials as a country music superstar are impressive and were well-established long before "The Voice" came into his life. He is the reigning five-time CMA Awards Male Vocalist of the Year and is a three-time host of the ACM Awards. He has earned a host of other awards and nominations, including multiple Grammy nominations as well as six gold and platinum albums.
Shelton's current single, "Gonna," is from his latest album, "Bringing Back the Sunshine," which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 All Genre Album Chart and the Billboard Country Album Chart. "Gonna" is also a bonus track on his upcoming album "Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits," which will be released Oct. 23.Shelton has garnered 15 consecutive #1 singles, the most of any country artist in the modern era, giving him a total of 20 #1 singles.
Shelton's success was not a slow build as his 2001 self-titled debut album would reach gold. The disc's top song, "Austin," reached the top of the country charts and would start an incredible streak of #1 singles. Other top-20 singles from the album were "All Over Me" and "Ol' Red," as all three of those singles helped propel Shelton's burgeoning career. His second album, "The Dreamer," was released in 2003 and would eventually reach gold. Lead-off single "The Baby" hit #1 in the country charts. "Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill" also reached gold and his fourth disc, "Pure BS," saw the cover single "Home" reach #1.
While "The Voice" has increased Shelton's exposure to a national audience in instrumental ways, it wasn't the first time he has appeared on television. He served as a judge on "Nashville Star" and "Clash of the Choirs," along with his own Christmas special, "Blake Shelton's Not-So-Family Christmas."
