VETS GONE WILD Takes Vet Care to New Heights with International Missions to Help Animals in Need Worldwide Image

Descended from a long line of veterinarians, Australian vet, Dr. Chris Brown, known to many from the Australian television series, Bondi Vet, takes us on an adventure around the world as he helps save and treat animals in need. Dr. Chris is plugged into a global network of animal advocates requesting his expertise to give care to an incredibly diverse range of species. Whether by boat, on foot, by motorcycle or plane, Dr. Chris travels to the most remote and exotic locations when he is called upon. VET GONE WILD premieres on Sunday, June 10 at 8PM ET/PT.

From operating on endangered rhinos in Africa, saving sick wombats in Tasmania, freeing fur seals trapped in fishing line on Phillip Island, rescuing dogs from the meat trade in south east Asia and helping orphaned sloths in Costa Rica, there is no animal too big or too small that Dr. Chris won't help. Viewers will experience the undeniable positive effect Dr. Chris has on the animals, people and places he touches. He travels to Thailand, Fiji, South Africa, Vietnam, Namibia, Tasmania and back to the Australian mainland, each episode concluding with a follow up several weeks later to see how the animals he treated have progressed.

Dr. Chris has one focus, "My mission is clear. Make a difference to the lives of animals that would otherwise have no-one. What's not clear is how we get to some of the most remote and spectacular places on the planet. And that's why this is such an adventure," he explains.

VET GONE WILD is produced for Animal Planet by Core Media Group. Mike Aho, Dr. Chris Brown, Tee-A Hoff, and Grady Candler serve as executive producers, while Tim Rummel is co-executive producer. For Animal Planet, Dawn Sinsel is senior executive producer with Valerie Moss as production coordinator.
