VAMPIRE DIARIES Finale Sees Largest Audience Since February

The CW's VAMPIRE DIARIES and SUPERNATURAL delivered the network's best Thursday night since March in total viewers (3.14million) and best male 18-49 (1.2/4) since February, according to preliminary national live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Thursday, May 13, 2010.

Last night's finale was THE VAMPIRE DIARIES' most-watched episode since February 11 with total viewers (3.48million) and best adult 18-49 (1.7/5) since February 4. VAMPIRE DIARIES won the time period in females 12-34 (2.6/9), female teens 12-17 (2.8/10) and ties for second in women 18-34 (2.6/9) and persons 12-34 (1.9/7). Compared to last week, VAMPIRE DIARIES grew by 5% in total viewers and 6% in adults 18-49.

SUPRNATURAL delivered its highest ratings in three weeks among total views (2.80million), adults 18-49 (1.3/4), women 18-49 (1.4./4), males 18-49 (1.2/3) and teens 12-17 (1.2/4). SUPERNATURAL was second in the hour among female teens 12-17 (1.2/5), delivering its highest number in five weeks.

SUPERNATURAL retention from VAMPIRE DIARIES was 100% in males 18-49 and 80% in males 18-34. Compared to last week, SUPERNATURAL was up 11% in total viewers, 8% in adults 18-49 and women 18-49, and 140% in female teens 12-17.
