NORTHERN RESCUE (10x60), a Netflix original drama (excluding Canada), is a heartwarming family drama starring William Baldwin (MacGyver) and Kathleen Robertson (Murder in the First). After the death of his wife Sarah, John West (Baldwin) packs up his three children and moves from their hectic urban life to his small northern hometown to take command of the local Search & Rescue service. Once there, THE FAMILY struggles with their new surroundings, new friends, and accepting Sarah's death. The children's aunt (Robertson) helps John and his children heal as she copes with the loss of her sister and her desire to have a family of her own.
The family drama is created by award-winning writer Mark Bacci (Between, Real Detective), International Emmy®-nominated producer David Cormican (Between, Tokyo Trial), and Daytime Emmy®-nominated performer and writer Dwayne Hill (Peg + Cat,Billable Hours).
A CBC and Netflix original production, NORTHERN RESCUE is produced by Don Carmody Television (DCTV). Executive Producers are Don Carmody (Resident Evil, Goon), Cormican, Bradley Walsh (Flower Shop Mystery, The Listener), and Bacci, Baldwin and Hill. Walsh will also direct four episodes including the pilot. Production begins June 2018 in Parry Sound, Ontario.
