"We are thrilled and excited to return to Las Vegas, a second home for us, and provide not only our viewers but our nominees, friends and guests an Unforgettable musical experience," said Gabriel Abaroa , President of The Latin Recording Academy. "Following the successes we have achieved we are proud to yet again work with the teams at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Mandalay Bay Events Center, our MGM Resorts partners and Univision to showcase some of the most talented Latin musicians today and deliver another show stopping Latin GRAMMY telecast."
Since the annual Latin GRAMMY telecast debuted entirely in Spanish on Univision in 2005, the show has consistently earned significant ratings year after year in the United States and around the world. In fact, the Latin GRAMMYs have become one of Univision's most watched and highest rated shows, as well as delivering strong social media results thanks to its high regard among Hispanics.
Additionally, the road to the Latin GRAMMYs - a month-long series of cultural events culminating with the hottest night in Latin music - begins with the Latin GRAMMY Acoustic Sessions and Latin GRAMMY Street Parties taking place in several cities across the United States and in Colombia and Mexico City, as well as the Special Awards Presentation, and the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year tribute gala.
