U.S. Gold Medalist and Skier Ted Ligety Visit THE LATE SHOW Tonight

Ted Ligety, the first U.S. men's skier to win a gold medal in the giant slalom, will talk about his historic victory at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi when he visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, tonight, Feb. 25 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

A two-time world champion and four-time World Cup champion in the giant slalom, Ligety took the top spot on the medal podium Wednesday, Feb. 19, with a two-run combined time of 2:45.29. He is the first U.S. alpine skier to win two gold medals in his career. Ligety took home gold in the men's combined event at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin.

In the past week, the LATE SHOW has welcomed several medalists from the Sochi games, including U.S. Men's Snowboard Slopestyle gold medalist Sage Kotsenburg (Tuesday, Feb. 18), U.S. Women's Halfpipe gold medalist Kaitlyn Farrington (Wednesday, Feb. 19) and the U.S. Men's Ski Slopestyle medal-winning trio Joss Christensen, Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper (Thursday, Feb. 20).

Also visiting the LATE SHOW Tuesday, Feb. 25 is actress Kat Dennings, star of the hit CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls."

The Late Show with David Letterman is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
