UEFA Champions League Returns to ESPN Deportes 9/13

The UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE returns to ESPN this Tuesday, September 13, at 2:30 p.m., with Barcelona vs. Celtic live on ESPN DEPORTES and ESPN DEPORTES +.

Highlights of the 2016-2017 UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE coverage across all ESPN platforms:

  • ESPN Deportes will present exclusive live coverage of 48 group stage matches from September through December 2016, and 14 playoff matches (Round of 16, Quarterfinals & Semifinals, starting February through May of 2017. ESPN Deportes' Spanish-language coverage also includes the UEFA Super Cup in August; matches will also stream live on WatchESPN.
  • In addition, ESPN DEPORTES Radio will carry select exclusive matches on its platform.Jorge Ramos, Hernan Pereyra, Kenneth Garay, Diego Cora and Giovanni Scavia will lead the commentary and analysis.
  • ESPN2 will also carry select UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE matches in English during the group stage, beginning this Tuesday with the Bayern Munich vs. FC Rostov match at 2:30 p.m. Additional matches will also be available on ESPN3 throughout the group stage.
  • Show hosts Andres Agulla, Ricardo Ortiz and Alex Pareja join the action with exclusive news and analysis around the games on ESPN Deportes' international soccer show, Fuera de Juego.
  • ESPN FC on TV, the definitive soccer news and information program, will air special post-game editions immediately following live presentation of UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE matches on ESPN2 throughout the group stage.
  • ESPNDeportes.com features a special front page with the latest news and information, exclusive coverage of top 10 matches, special reports around the top players to follow, and match previews. Jordi Blanco will provide post-game analysis for all Barcelona home games, Paola Nuñez will provide post-game analysis for all Real Madrid home games, and ESPN DEPORTES TV commentators, Gemma Soler and Manu Martin, will provide video analysis after each match day.
  • ESPN FC's multi-platform global website and app will provide comprehensive coverage of this season's Champions League. In addition to group-by-group previews and predictions, breakout players, matches to watch, big questions and more, ESPN FC's roster of writers will cover the biggest storylines once the tournament kicks off. Writers will also be on site at matches across Europe throughout the group and KNOCKOUT stages.
  • Fans can follow the action using the hashtags #CHAMPIONSxESPN. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will deliver real time coverage with on-the-ground photos and short videos, such as ESPN Deportes' UCL TV Spot.
