Train, Christina Aguilera, & More to Appear on NBC's NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH CARSON DALY, 12/31

NBC's "New Year's Eve With Carson Daly" will ring in 2013 with Grammy Award-winning group Train, performing "Mermaid" and John Lennon's "Imagine," and, Cassadee Pope, the winner of NBC's "The Voice," as well as some of the best musical performances from 2012. The two-hour special will air live on Monday, December 31, beginning in primetime from 10-11 p.m. (ET), and continuing from 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. (ET) with the first performances of the New Year. "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" will broadcast in high definition from the middle of the world's most famous New Year's Eve destination -- Times Square in New York City.

Angela Kinsey (NBC's "The Office") will join Daly with live Reports from the heart of Times Square among the one million spectators.

The 2012 musical retrospective includes Justin Bieber in Mexico City, Coldplay from the Paralympics Closing Ceremony, Madonna's halftime show at the Super Bowl XLVI, Adele from Albert Hall, The Spice Girls from the Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony, PSY from the MTV European Music Awards, Beyonce from World Humanitarian Day and David Guetta from Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro.

Among other highlights from the show's segments will be: coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera from NBC's "The Voice" talking about their New Year's parties; Jay Leno and Nick Offerman (NBC's "Parks and Recreation") talking about New Year's resolutions; Donald Trump (NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice") offers Real Estate advice for buyers in the New Year; Amy Poehler and Adam Scott (NBC's "Parks and Recreation") explain "Auld Lang Syne" and NBC's "Parenthood" cast giving new celebrity mothers parenting advice. Jimmy Fallon from NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also appears.

"California 37" is Train's fifth studio album, and features the double-platinum hit "Drive By" and platinum hit "50 Ways to Say Goodbye." The multi-platinum selling band made its mark on music history with the Grammy Award-winning song "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)" and chart-topping singles like "Meet Virginia" and "Calling All Angels," earning its third Grammy in 2011 for the Worldwide smash "Hey, Soul Sister" from "Save Me, San Francisco." The top-selling single of 2010, "Hey, Soul Sister" hit #1 at radio in the US and in 15 countries abroad. "Save Me, San Francisco" has sold over one million albums Worldwide and over ten million tracks.
