It was another tough night for AMERICAN IDOL's Lazaro Arbos. While his solo performance of Stevie Wonder's "Once in My Life" brought luke warm praise from the judges, the ice cream scooper from Naples, Florida struggled to remember the lyrics to The Four Tops' hit "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" during a trio performance

Arbos, BurNell Taylor and Devin Velez teamed up on the Motown classic as part of the night's celebration of the music of Detroit. During the number, Lazaro looked distressed and confused, clearly forgetting the lyrics to the song as the camera zoomed in on him for his solo.

Unfortunately, the singers received harsh feedback from the judges, including Nicki Minaj who chastised, "Don't ever do that. All three of you, go. Go! Go! Get off the stage!"

Asked by host Ryan Seacrest to explain what went wrong, Burnell politely defended himself saying, "Not to throw anyone under the bus, but..." Devin was clearly more upset revealing, "I learned my parts. I tried saving a couple people, but..."

Offered Lazaro, "I didn't know the words that well."
