Spike TV has hired Tori Socha as Senior Director of Original Series, and has promoted Jeff Savaiano to Senior Director of Original Series. The moves were announced today by Chris Rantamaki, Senior Vice President of Original Series to whom they both will report.

Today's announcement comes as Spike TV continues to evolve and develop its brand through broad-appealing original programming. The original series department's growth corresponds with the network's increased commitment to original programming, with hits like "Ink Master," "Bar Rescue," "Tattoo Nightmares," and upcoming projects "Hungry Investors" and "Frankenfood."

Prior to Syfy, Socha developed original series and specials for TLC as Manager of Development, where she was part of the team that also oversaw live broadcasts of the Miss America Pageants and Royal Wedding coverage. Socha also served as Coordinating Producer for Discovery Studios - West Coast, and began her career at William Morris Agency and CBS Entertainment.

Jeff Savaiano joined Spike TV in 2008 and has been responsible for series development and managing show production from pilot development through series post-production. He will continue to oversee the creative and day-to-day operations of upcoming Spike TV series "Catch A Contractor" starring Adam Carolla and "Frankenfood" with renowned chef Josh Capon. Savaiano's promotion comes after his involvement in network hits "Tattoo Nightmares," "Auction Hunters," "Deadliest Warrior" and "1000 Ways To Die." Savaiano started his career at United Talent Agency and has worked as a writers' assistant for shows on Warner Bros. and NBC Networks, in addition to holding posts at Tollin/Robbins Productions and Reveille, LLC in both scripted and alternative TV and film.
