'Torchwood's John Barrowman Joins Cast of ABC Pilot GILDED LILYS

According to TVLine.com, John Barrowman is set to star in producer Shonda Rhimes upcoming ABC drama pilot GILDED LILYS. The actor will join previously announced cast members Blythe Danner, Matt Lauria, Sarah Bolger and Madeline Zima. The script is written by Gossip Girl's K.J. Steinberg.

GILDED LILYS takes place in 1895 and is described as "an epic love story, a vicious rivalry and a scandalous secret unfolding against the backdrop of the opening of New York’s first luxury hotel." Barrowman will portray a member of the show’s featured family, the Lilys.

Barrowman is best known for his TV role as time-traveller Jack Harkness in the the drama series 'Torchwood'.
