After thousands of submissions, hundreds of hopeful competitors, and countless disastrous falls, G4 and NBC have found the top 100 athletes from around the nation who are worthy enough to take on the historic Mt. Midoryama obstacle course in Las Vegas, Nevada for a shot at a $500,000 prize. From schoolteachers to firemen to lawyers to social workers, hundreds of the strongest, fittest, nimblest Ninja hopefuls from throughout the nation flocked to six regional competitions this spring to determine the top 15 from each region who would have the right to head the Las Vegas for the first ever exclusive-stateside national final.
The infamous final four-stage obstacle course located near the Las Vegas strip is modeled after the original "insurmountable" course in Japan and presents the same near-impossible challenges. A staggering 2,700 competitors have attempted the original course in Japan with only three being able to achieve 'total victory' and complete all four stages. So far, no American has done it.
It's not too late to see what 44.1 million Total Unique Viewers across both NBC and G4 have watched when the national finals for American Ninja Warrior start Sunday, July 8 at 9pm ET/PT on G4 before shifting to NBC on Monday, July 9 at 9pm ET/PT. NBC will continue the finals coverage on Monday, July 16 at 9pm ET/PT before the epic two-hour conclusion, Monday, July 23 at 9pm ET/PT.
