As first reported on Deadline.com, Tony-award winner Andrea Martin has joined the cast of writer Ben Falcone's untitled CBS comedy pilot. The actress joins cast members Falcone and Judd Hirsch on the multi-comedy project.
The pilot will tell the story of David (Falcone), described as "a single 37-year-old who loses everything he has in the real estate collapse and finds himself back home in the house he grew up in with his parents (Hirsch, Martin)."
Andrea Martin is known for her unforgettable collection of characters on the Emmy winning SCTV. The Tony-winning Broadway star has had memorable performances in Young Frankenstein, Fiddler on the Roof, Candide, Exit the King, Oklahoma! and My Favorite Year.
Martin's film credits include, the newly released Breaking Upwards, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, (Sag award nomination and People's Choice Award, best ensemble) Hedwig and the Angry Inch, All Over the Guy, Mary Walsh's Young Triffie's Been Made Away With, Stepping Out, Bogus, and Wag the Dog.
