The Jewish Channel will broadcast the latest edition of its popular theateroriented monthly TV show, "Row J," to begin airing on demand on Tuesday, February 10. Row J" is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton.
Each episode of "Row J" focuses on Broadway and offBroadway shows, highlighting Jewish themes, actors, writers, and directors. Theater personalities discuss their current projects and careers, alongside reviews of new shows, onlocation features with theater community notables, and other special segments. The February edition of "Row J" will include:
* a preview of the upcoming Broadway revival of Wendy Wasserstein's "The Heidi Chronicles," featuring stars Elisabeth Moss, Jason Biggs, and Bryce Pynkham.
* a report on the opening of the new musical "Honeymoon in Vegas" featuring star Tony Danza and former "Taxi" castmates including Marilu Henner, Judith Light, and Carol Kane.
* a talk with awardwinning actress Tovah Feldshuh, who previews her upcoming cabaret act "Aging Is Optional" at 54 Below.
* an instudio interview with acclaimed singersongwriter Benjamin Scheuer, whose hit show "The Lion" is returning for an OffBroadway run.
* a sneak peek at Fiasco Theater's hit production of "Into the Woods" at the Laura Pels Theatre. * an intimate chat with legendary theater producer and "Black Broadway" author Stewart Lane.
* our monthly roundtable, featuring Ganzman along with Row J" contributing critic Jesse Oxfeld, and guest critic Steve Schonberg.
