According to The Hollywood Reporter, Toni Collette and Catherine Keener have signed on for the currently untitled Nicole Holofcener film from Fox Searchlight. The actresses join previously announced cast members Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ben Falcone, Eve Hewson and God of Carnage's James Gandolfini on the film which began shooting in Los Angeles this week.

According to the report, the film centers on a "divorced soon-to-be empty-nester (Louis-Dreyfus) who meets the embodiment of her perfect self (Keener). After regaining confidence vis-à-vis her new placement in life, she enters into a new romance with a like-minded man (Gandolfini). Things get complicated, however when she discovers her new love is the other's woman's ex."

Collette made her Broadway debut opposite Mandy Patinkin and Eartha Kitt. In The Wild Party, she played the platinum-haired vaudeville dancer and raunchy hostess Queenie for whom she picked up both a Theatre World Award and a Tony nomination.

The Australian born actress achieved international recognition as a result of her Academy Award-nominated portrayal of Lynn Sear in The Sixth Sense. She has since starred in About a Boy for which she received a BAFTA nomination in 2002, In Her Shoes, and Little Miss Sunshine. Her performance on Showtime's United States of Tara has won her the Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Keener appeared Off-Broadway in Burn This. She received an Academy Award nomination for the films "Capote" and "Being John Malkovich."
