Sony Pictures has announced the title for the upcoming movie about children's TV host Mr. Rogers, which stars Tom Hanks.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be called A Beautiful Day in THE NEIGHBORHOOD when it is released on October 18.
Marielle Heller is directing the Fred Rogers film from a script by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster.
Rogers was the host of the long-running children's show Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, which opened with a theme song that began, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood."
The film is being produced by Marc Turtletaub and Peter Saraf via their Big Beach Films, along with Youree Henley. Fitzerman-Blue and Harpster will executive produce alongside Big Beach's Leah Holzer.
