Broadway favorite Tituss Burgess becomes a fan favorite on NBC's 30 Rock. Having previously wowed Broadway audiences with his vocal prowess in Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid, and Guys and Dolls, Burgess makes his TV role debut as recurring character D'Fwan, a member of Angie Jordan's (played by Sherri Shepherd) reality show. According to NBC's 30 Rock website, D'Fwan's main goal in life is "to be accepted for who he is...a gentleman in the street and a freak in the sheets. He's a sexual maniac!"
Tituss Burgess was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, where he grew up in the church and sang around the city with his mama (when he is home, he still does!). As an only child, he entertained himself by banging on the nearest piano, and went on to graduate from the University of Georgia with a BA in Music. He made his Broadway debut singing "Wouldn't It Be Nice" as Eddie in The Beach Boys musical Good Vibrations. Tituss went on to originate roles in the original Broadway companies of Jersey Boys (HAl Miller), The Little Mermaid (Sebastian the Crab), and the most recent revival of Guys and Dolls (Nicely-Nicely Johnson). He is currently recording an album of original music.
