Tia Mowry Will Not Return to BET's THE GAME Next Season

TVGuide.com reports that Tia Mowry will not return to the BET series THE GAME when it returns for a sixth season. Rumors of the news first began to emerge after Mowry's character, Melanie Barnett-Davis, did not appear in this past Tuesday's episode. 

The actress posted on her Twitter account, "Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6," she wrote. "It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun along the way. I am looking forward to my upcoming projects...the release of my book Oh Baby, Season 2 of [Tia & Tamera] on [the Style Network] premiering in June, and my [ABC Family] movie coming out in December...more to come!"

A spokesman for the network did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
