Check out this green band trailer for THE DIRTIES, winner of Best Narrative Feature and the Spirit of Slamdance Award at this year's Slamdance Film Festival, which is opening day-and-date, on VOD and in theaters across the country today, October 4th.
After the film's award-winning world premiere at Slamdance, Kevin Smith called it "The most important movie you will see all year," and made it one of the first films debuting through his new "Kevin Smith Movie Club" distribution company in association with Phase 4 Films.
The somewhat controversial and documentary-like story follows two High School buddies that are making a film about getting revenge on ruthless bullies at their school for a class project. Over time, the line between fiction and reality begin to blur as it appears that one of the students isn't joking.
The film is topical and extremely timely, especially since school just started back up and October is National Bullying Prevention Month. The script was co-written by Evan Morgan and Matt Johnson, Johnson also directed and stars in the film alongside co-star Owen Williams.
