The Trevor Project will honor Emmy®, Golden Globe® and Peabody® Award-winning screenwriter, producer and director Ryan Murphy and the cast of the FX series POSE at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE Los Angeles gala for their commitment to supporting the nonprofit's mission to provide crisis INTERVENTION services and end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people. TrevorLIVE Los Angeles will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2 at The Beverly Hilton.

Murphy and the cast of POSE made history by featuring the largest transgender series regular cast and the largest LGBTQ cast ever for a scripted series. POSE was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck and Steven Canals. Murphy, Falchuck, and Canals also serve as writers on the series alongside Janet Mock and Our Lady J. The full cast includes Evan Peters, MJ Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Billy Porter, Indya Moore, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Hailie Sahar, Angelica Ross, Angel Bismark Curiel, Dyllon Burnside, Jason Rodriguez, Jeremy McClain, Kate Mara, Charlayne Woodward, James Van Der Beek, and Sandra Bernhard.
He created the groundbreaking television drama Nip/Tuck, which won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series in 2005 and ran for six seasons. He also created the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series Glee; Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning anthology series American Horror Story and American Crime Story; Emmy-winning anthology series FEUD; SCREAM Queens; and 9-1-1. His second installment of American Crime Story, "The Assassination of Gianni Versace," recently won seven 2018 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series and Outstanding Limited Series. On stage, he most recently produced the Broadway revival of The Boys in the Band, starring Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer and Andrew Rannells. Murphy wrote and directed the Golden Globe-nominated film Running with Scissors, starring Annette Bening and Gwyneth Paltrow, and the box office hit Eat, Pray, Love, starring Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem. In 2014, he directed the HBO movie The Normal Heart, which received Emmy and GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS including the Emmy for Outstanding Television Movie. He is currently writing, directing and producing his upcoming series The Politician, to debut on Netflix in 2019.
