The Glee Project Delivers More Than One Million Total Viewers During Airings

During both its original and encore airings of episode four, Oxygen's critically acclaimed "The Glee Project" delivered over one million viewers (1,053,000) on Sunday night with 745,000 total viewers earned during the first hour and 308,000 total viewers during its encore presentation, according to Nielsen Media Research. Demonstrating weekly ratings growth, "The Glee Project" delivered series highs and grew double digits among total viewers and all key demos since its premiere on June 12th. The series posted a 64% percent increase in total viewers, +108% among A12-24, +82% among W18-49 and +86% among A18-49 since premiere.

Compared to the prior original episode that aired on June 26, Sunday's program grew an impressive 26% in total viewers (745,000 VS. 591,000), 24% in A18-49 (392,000 vs. 316,000), 30% among W18-49 (262,000 vs. 201,000) and 39% among the rabid "The Glee Project" A12-24 demo (246,000 vs. 177,000). On the digital front, Oxygen.com recorded 3.8 million page views since Sunday, an +83% improvement over the same time period for episode three, driven in part by OxygenLive, Oxygen's dual screen experience, which was responsible for 52% of page views between Sunday and Monday.

Sunday's OxygenLive event, hosted by contenders Cameron and Damian, marked the best Oxygen Live event to date, posting triple digit growth in unique visitors (+557%) over the episode three event. Overall, the Oxygen Live site (www.OxygenLive.com) recorded triple-digit growth in unique visitors (+319%) and page views (+695%) for the full premiere day as compared to the full premiere day of episode three. Oxygen.com also recorded its best day since March 3, 2010 with respect to average time spent on the site on Sunday (17 minutes). Sunday night's episode ranked as the #2 most mentioned program online among all cable television programs, the highest ranking the series has received according to social media index, Trendrr.

Sunday's episode, titled "Dance Ability," featured guest mentor Harry Shum, Jr. ("Glee's" Mike Chang) who coached the nine remaining contenders on their moves. Paducah, KY's McKynleigh Abraham (19) was eliminated, after performing Carrie Underwood's "Last Name" during the bottom three segment of the show. On July 17, the next original episode of "The Glee Project" with returning guest mentor Darren Criss ("Blaine") will explore the theme of ?Pairability,' challenging the contenders to collaborate on duets.
