According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW is developing a new version of the 1980s horror/fantasy series TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE, originally created by George A. Romero.

Joe Hill, who is Stephen King's son and writes the Locke & Key comics, will pen the new series.

The original anthology series followed a format popular with other shows such as The Twilight Zone and Tales From The Crypt, in which each episode is its own story with a plot-twist ending.

TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE will be executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Sleepy Hollow), along with the 1984 show's producer Jerry Golod, as well as Heather Kadin and Mitch Galin.
