NBC Deportes presents a full weekend of British and Mexican soccer beginning Saturday, March 12 and continuing through Monday the 14th:
Manchester City at Norwich City, 7:30AM/6:30C/4:30P on
NBC UNIVERSO. A great opportunity for Manchester City to catch up to the top three teams in the league standings. If the Citizens win, they will push Arsenal out of third place (the Gunners own game against West Brom this week was postponed). Saturday's match is also a good chance for Man City's top scorer, Argentina's Sergio Agüero, to boost his goal count, currently only three behind league leader Jamie Vardy.
Stoke vs. Southampton, 9:45AM/8:45C/6:45P on
NBC UNIVERSO. Evenly matched Stoke and Southampton, ranked 8th and 9th in the league, respectively, will try to avoid losing points as they try to get closer to a coveted spot in next season's European cups.
Bournemouth vs. Swansea, 9:55AM/8:55C/6:55P, exclusively on
NBC Deportes EN VIVO EXTRA.
In the Liga MX:
León vs. Querétaro, 9PM/8C/6P on
NBC UNIVERSO. León needs a win over Querétaro, but the Gallos are equally determined to continue their own upward trajectory and make it to the playoffs. León will have the advantage of its home field, the site of its crushing 5-1 victory over Toluca in Week 7. Depending on the week's other results, a win could put it within striking distance of league leader Monterrey.
Sunday, March 13
Aston Villa vs. Tottenham, 11:55AM/10:55C/8:55P on TELEMUNDO. On paper at least, Tottenham is the clear favorite to steamroll last-place Aston Villa and close the distance separating it from Leicester in first. Mauricio Pochettino and his team would rather forget last week's tie against Arsenal in the North London derby as they set their sights squarely on the title.
Monday, March 14
Leicester vs. Newcastle, 3:55PM/2:55C/12:55P on
NBC UNIVERSO. The unstoppable Leicester would be happy to add to its comfortable five-point lead over Tottenham at the expense of Newcastle, which in turn would very much like to avoid the stigma of last place. The game is the perfect opportunity for Jamie Vardy, who leads the league with 19 goals scored, and Riyad Mahrez, a candidate for the league's best player, to show off their moves.
