Telemundo to Premiere BAJO EL MISMO CIELO, 7/28

Telemundo is pleased to announce the premiere of "Bajo El Mismo Cielo," Tuesday, July 28 at 9pm/8c. Starring Gabriel Porras, Maria Elisa Camargo, Luis Ernesto Franco and Julio Bracho, "Bajo El Mismo Cielo" is the story of Carlos Martinez (Porras), a RELENTLESS hard working Mexican immigrant who crosses the border illegally and settles with his family in Los Angeles, where he starts working as a landscaper. Carlos dreams of giving his children a better opportunity and strives to offer them the opportunities he never had in Mexico.

"Bajo El Mismo Cielo" features a stellar cast that includes Erika De La Rosa, Alejandro Speitzer, Liz Gallardo, Mercedes Molto, Fernando Noriega, Kendra Santacruz, Ximena Ayala, Raul Arrieta, Keller Worthman, Jose Guillermo Cortines, Oka Guiner, Rosalinda Rodriguez, Andres Zúñiga, Freddy Flores, Ahrid Hannaley, Alma Itzel, Kevin Aponte, among others; each one will bring the characters of this heart-wrenching story to life.

The theme song of the telenovela comes from acclaimed Mexican-American band Las Cafeteras, with "La Bamba Rebelde," a fresh take on the traditional track that celebrates Chicano pride. The Los Angeles-based group is known for its eclectic musical style that mixes rhythms from Veracruz with hip-hop, infused by Native American influences and powerful social lyrics.

"Bajo El Mismo Cielo" is a Telemundo Studios production taped in Miami and Los Angeles, with a script by Perla Farias ("Donde Está Elisa?" "Marido en Alquiler") and Jose Vicente Spataro. Joshua Mintz and Martha Godoy ("El Señor de los Cielos," "Señora Acero," "La Patrona") serve as executive producers.
