Telemundo Wraps February as No. 1 Spanish-Language Network in Key Demos

Telemundo continues its historic winning streak, closing February as the #1 Spanish-language network season-to-date during Monday-Friday 8-11pm among adults 18-49 (895,000) and 18-34 (426,000), according to Nielsen. As its competitors continue to decline versus last season, Telemundo is the only major Spanish-language television network with year-over-year growth this season during Monday-Friday 8-11pm, up nine percent among adults 18-49, compared to Univision (-14%; 891,000) and UniMas (-13%; 269,000). Among adults 18-34, Telemundo is up 14%, compared to Univision (-10%; 411,000) and UniMas (-28%; 105,000).

In addition, Telemundo wraps up February as the fastest-growing, Spanish-language broadcast network during 8-11pm Monday-Friday primetime among adults 18-49, between the top three networks (Telemundo, Univision and UniMas). Among adults 18-34, Telemundo is the only major Spanish-language network to grow year-over-year in February, up 36% (384,000).

February programming highlights include:

  • Telemundo's current Super Series™ "El Chema" is the leading Spanish-language television program at 10pm and averaged more than 2 million total viewers, 1.2 million adults 18-49, and 564,000 adults 18-34.
  • The network's 9pm series "La Doña" averaged more than 1.5 million total viewers, 772,000 adults 18-49 and 350,000 adults 18-34.
  • Noticias Telemundo's "Inmigración, Trump y los Hispanos" (Immigration, Trump and the Hispanic Community) town hall broadcast on Sunday, February 12 at 7PM/6C, ranked #1 in Spanish-language television in primetime across all key adult demographics, averaging 1.57 million total viewers, 708,000 adults 18-49 and 325,000 adults 18-34.
  • "Titulares y Mas" was the highest-rated, weekday sports show in February in Spanish-language television among adults 18-49. The show is up +21% percent vs prior year (279,000 vs 230,000).
