Telemundo Phoenix Names Hector Lagunas As Multimedia Journalist

Telemundo Phoenix / KTAZ announced today that Hector Lagunas has been named Video Journalist for Noticiero Telemundo Arizona for the station's weekday newscasts at 4PM, 4:30 PM, 5PM and 10 PM. The newscast is also simulcast on Telemundo Tucson / KHRR. Today is Hector's first day with Telemundo Phoenix and he will be making his on-air debut on Monday, September 25.

"As a young journalist, Hector's passion and energy will bring a fresh take on things in the newsroom," said Miguel Gaytan, Vice President of News for Telemundo Phoenix and Telemundo Tucson. "His valuable experience in border issues will be a great benefit to our news team when covering local immigration issues in our Arizona communities," added Gaytan.

Lagunas began his journalism career in El Paso, Texas, where he worked as a multimedia journalist for Telemundo El Paso / KTDO. The Arizona native graduated with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Media from Arizona State University. Lagunas had previously obtained an associate's degree in Communications from Phoenix College.
