Telemundo Media, the largest producer of Spanish-language prime time content for audiences in the U.S. and around the world, has been nominated for seven GLAAD Media Awards in the Outstanding Spanish-Language Daytime Talk Show Episode, Outstanding Spanish-Language TV Journalism and Outstanding Spanish-Language Local TV Journalism categories. The 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will be given out on April 12, 2014 from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles and on May 3, 2014 from the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
In the category of Outstanding Spanish-Language Daytime Talk Show Episode,
Telemundo Media was recognized for "Entregando a Mi Nieta (Surrendering My Granddaughter)" on "Caso Cerrado"; "Exclusivas Declaraciones (Exclusive Statements)" on "Al Rojo Vivo" and "Matrimonios Del Mismo Sexo: Entrevista con Daniel Zavala y Yohandel Ruiz (Same Sex Marriages: Interview with Daniel Zavala Ruiz and Yohandel)" on "Un Nuevo Día." Additionally, Telemundo's "Noticiero Telemundo" scored an Outstanding Spanish-Language TV Journalism Segment nomination for its piece, "Decisión Histórica (Historic Decision)."

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community that inspire change. The GLAAD Media Awards also fund GLAAD's work to amplify stories of LGBT people and issues that build support for equality.
