Telemundo Deportes, the Spanish-language home of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™, today announced the premiere of its first-ever, original documentary-style sports production QUE MOMENTO (What A Moment), this Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. CT on Telemundo. The new primetime special will present new episodes every quarter, taking an in-depth journalistic look at some of the greatest and most memorable moments in sports history.

The show title, "Que Momento," was born from Andres Cantor's signature phrase used to callout the most exciting or emotional moments in a soccer match. The four-time Emmy Award winner commentator will serve as the host of the program, along with the contribution of other Telemundo Deportes' on-air talent.

Premiering the day after the Final Draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, the first episode #NoEraPenal captures the Mexican National Team's (MNT) impressive and unforgettable journey leading into the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the now famous match against Netherlands with the dubious late penalty call that eliminated El Tri.

This first special further explores the moment in which the MNT lost its chance to advance to a famed "fifth World Cup Match," when many believed Dutch forward Arjen Robben flopped his way into a penalty kick with just minutes left in the game. In addition, the one-hour show captures the aftermath of that moment including the Mexican fans' "No Era Penal," a widespread cultural and viral movement that resonated around the world across social media.

As part of the show, Miguel Gurwitz will join Cantor for an in-depth discussion, as he spoke to all the protagonists surrounding this moment, including Mexico's Miguel Herrera, Andres Guardado, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, Giovani Dos Santos, Carlos Salcido and Robben himself. Following the show, Ana Jurka will host a Facebook Live, featuring Jose Luis Mercado, a Mexican fan who spent more than three years tweeting #NoEraPenal and ultimately took on a main role in the making of this story.

Telemundo Deportes, one of the leading providers of sports content in Spanish in the United States, is home to two of the world's most popular sporting events: the FIFA World Cup™ through 2026 and the Summer Olympic Games through 2032. It is also the home of the FIFA Club World Cup until at least 2018. In addition, Telemundo Deportes broadcasts the FIFA World Cup™ CONCACAF qualifying matches for most of the region, including the Mexico and USA national teams' away matches, and the Premier League. Telemundo Deportes is also home to "Boxeo Telemundo Ford," the #1 boxing program in Spanish, and "Titulares y Más," the #1 sports news, entertainment and commentary show in Spanish, among other recognized sports properties.
