Veteran soccer commentator and play-by-play announcer known for his unmistakable goal call, Andres Cantor, won his fifth Sports Emmy for Outstanding On-Air Sports Personality in Spanish at the 39th Annual Sports Emmy Awards yesterday, May 8, for his work with Telemundo Deportes.

Cantor was awarded his fifth and second consecutive Emmy with just about a month away from the 2018 FIFA World Cup™, where he will serve as the chief commentator for Telemundo Deportes' exclusive Spanish-language coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™.

This fifth Emmy went to Cantor after calling a thrilling final match day of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers, where he called three matches simultaneously.

"I am truly humbled to recieve this award and want to share it with my Telemundo and Telemundo Deportes family," Cantor said.
