Telemundo has announced the filming of the original series "Camelia La Tejana," a story inspired by the legendary norteño band Los Tigres del Norte's popular corrido "Contrabando y Traición." Starring Mexican actors Sara Maldonado and Erik Hayser, along with a cast of 97 and a 200-member production team, the series is being filmed with state of the art cinematography by Campanario Entertainment for Telemundo. The storyline unfolds throughout several cities in Mexico as well as Los Angeles, California and San Antonio, Texas in the 70's. "Camelia La Tejana," is the story of a naive woman driven to a life of crime by passion, Betrayal and revenge.
Sara Maldonado, who played the lead role in Telemundo's "Aurora" and Verónica Cortés on "La Reina del Sur," brings the legend of "Camelia La Tejana" to life with Mexican actor Erik Hayser, who co-stars as Emilio Varela, her lover. They are joined by Dagoberto Gama, Andrés Palacios, Eréndira Ibarra, Luis Ernesto Franco, Joaquín Garrido, Tamara Mazarrasa, Julio Alberto Casado, Peter Theis, Estefanía Villarreal, Ana Paula de León, Víctor Alfredo Jímenez, Iñaki Goci, Néstor Rodulfo Rojas, Claudia Lizaldi, Arcelia Ramirez, Claudette Maillé and Salvador Benavides, among others.Videos
