Tegan and Sara Quin released their first independent full-length album in 1999 and over their 13-year career have
Built an avid global following of fans and fellow musicians alike. Having sold nearly one million career albums and toured with acts from The Killers to
Neil Young, Tegan and Sara recently released their seventh studio album-Heartthrob-as internationally-celebrated songwriters, performers and artists. In addition to guest music supervising for this episode of "Awkward," songs from Tegan and Sara's new album, including the single "Closer," as well as "Goodbye, Goodbye" and "Drove Me Wild" will be featured throughout season three.
"The thing that's really interesting about having your music placed is that you have really very little say in where or how it's used, so this was a really cool opportunity to see what it's like to be on the other side of it," said Sara. "Thinking of the fans of the show who would be watching, who know that there is always really amazing music on 'Awkward' and for us to be able to bring to light some new, unknown artists for them, that ended up being
The Challenge I liked the most," said Tegan.
In this week's episode, Tegan and Sara chose to feature "90210" by The Courtneys, "Perpetual Surrender" by Diana, "Say Something" by Sucré, "All We Have" by Ok Sweetheart and "I Was A Fool" by Tegan and Sara. Love their song choices? Visit
