According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taylor Kitsch and Brendan Gleeson will star in the upcoming film THE GRAND SEDUCTION. The movie is an English-language reboot of the Canadian film La Grand Seduction. The actors join previously announced cast members Mary Walsh, Cathy Jones, Liane Balaban and Gordon Pinsent.
Don McKellar will now direct the film after original helmer Ken Scott, who penned the script to the 2003 box office hit, left the project to move on to Dreamwork's 'Starbuck.' The remake will have a screenplay co-written by Scott and Michael Dowse. Barbara Doran, founder of Morag Loves Company, and French producer Pierre-Ange Le Pogam of Stone Angels Production will co-produce.
Gleeson will portray a resident of the village who is in search of a doctor who he hope to convince to remain in the small town. Kitsch will take on the role of the doctor.
Kitsch is best known for his role as Tim Riggins in the NBC television series Friday Night Lights and for his role as Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He also starred in the films John Carter, Battleship, and Savages.
