Deadline writes that Taryn Manning (Orange Is The New Black) has joined the indie movie A LIGHT BENEATH THEIR FEET, directed by Valerie Weiss from a script by Moira McMahon Leeper.

The film follows a High School senior who is forced to choose between leaving for college or staying home and taking care of her bipolar mother, played by Manning.

A LIGHT BENEATH THEIR FEET is set to begin filming in February 2014.

Busy actress Manning's other upcoming big screen projects include A Winter Rose, Almost Broadway, All American Christmas Carol, Heaven's Rain, Man Without a Head, Low Down and It Snows All the Time. Aside from Netflix's original prison series Orange Is The New Black, Manning has starred on the small screen in Hawaii Five-0, Sons of Anarchy, Drive and Get Real.
