The final episode of Wonkybot Studios' 4-part docuseries "Tara Tremendous: Making Of A Musical" airs tonight.
Titled "Show Time", we find Stewart St John, Todd Fisher and Michael Plahuta - the creative forces behind Tara Tremendous The Musical (and the Wonkybot company founders) - grappling with a second day of show rehearsals in the Big Apple. With the musical concert just a day away, will they succeed in getting the veteran Broadway cast up to speed with 20 brand new songs in time for their debut at Feinstein's/54 Below? And - how will a last minute surprise visit from Australia impact them? Find out as the Wonkybots bring their one-night concert performance to the stage - a monumental first step in taking their musical show to Broadway.
The finale features behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage and exclusive performances from Micky Dolenz (The Monkees), Mimi Ryder (Matilda The Musical), Annie Golden (Netflix' "Orange Is The New Black"), Kecia Lewis (Broadway's "Little Mermaid"), Brian Charles Rooney, Mary Stout, Bart Shatto, Mia Moravis, Ramsey Whitney, Talia Ryder, Allie Jordan Butcher and more.
St John, Fisher and Plahuta narrate the show, providing insight into their musical process, personal lives and what it takes to launch an original piece of work in today's competitive market. The Feinstein's/54 Below one-night concert is just the first step in taking their new musical to Broadway.
A second season of the musical series is set to premiere in July, chronicling the Wonkybots' adventure as they return to New York to prepare for the Official Cast Album (which will release in August and be distributed by Broadway Records).
Tara Tremendous: Making Of A Musical is directed by Stewart St John; produced by St John, Todd Fisher and Michael Plahuta for MM Factory and Wonkybot Studios.
