Television's home for true crime programming, Investigation Discovery (ID) announced today an all-new season of the network's hit newsmagazine, DEADLINE: CRIME WITH TAMRON HALL. A respected news anchor and award-winning investigative journalist, Tamron Hall knows first-hand the effects of violent crime. Her older sister was a murder victim in a case that is still officially unsolved. Returning with eight new episodes, the new season follows Hall as she relentlessly searches for the truth in criminal cases where crucial evidence, testimonies, and motives have eluded justice. In each hour-long episode, Hall sits down for emotional, in-depth interviews with key players in the case and visits the scene of the crime to find out what really happened and determine whether justice was ultimately served. The all-new season of DEADLINE: CRIME WITH TAMRON HALL premieres Sunday, September 8 at 10/9c, only on ID.

In the premiere episode, Vanishing on I-95, Lorraine Hendricks sets off to visit her best friend, and drives down I-95 from Jacksonville, Florida to Vero Beach. She never arrives. Two days later, police find her abandoned car on the side of the interstate; it seems Lorraine just walked away from it. Then her body is found one mile away, hidden in the woods. It's a tragedy covered by all the newspapers, and when one woman reads about it, she suddenly has a hunch that her husband, Tim Harris, has something to do with it. But she faces violence herself before the truth is captured on tape.
