TV One Series UNSUNG Earns NAACP Image Award

TV One's signature original series UNSUNG received its third consecutive Outstanding News/Information (Series or Special) honor at the 44th annual NAACP Image Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles, CA. Originally airing on NBC February 1, the two-hour awards show will re-air on TV One, Saturday February 9 at 8 PM/ET.

"I am proud to see that the hard work of everyone involved with Unsung, TV One's longest running and popular original series be recognized with such a prestigious and significant honor," remarked Chairman and CEO TV One Alfred Liggins. "This acknowledgement further affirms that our efforts to provide quality content to the Black Audience are on the right track."

Unsung is narrated by Gary Anthony Williams and is executive produced by Arthur Smith, Kent Weed and Frank Sinton of A. Smith & Co. Production for TV One. Mark Rowland is Co-Executive Producer. Executive in charge of production for TV One is Jubba Seyyid and Executive Producer for TV One is Toni Judkins.

The 44th NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film. The awards also honor individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.
