Tambor initially responded to the clim about his personal assistant by denying it. He later apologized to his co-star on that show, saying "I am deeply sorry if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being sexually aggressive or if I ever offended or hurt anyone. But the fact is, for all my flaws, I am not a predator and the idea that someone might see me in that way is more distressing than I can express."

Transparent recently finished its fourth season. Writers are currently trying to put together a fifth season with or without the star. The comedy-drama television series TRANSPARENT was created by Jill Soloway for Amazon Studios and debuted in February 2014. The story revolves around a Los Angeles family and their lives following the discovery that the person they knew as their father Mort (Jeffrey Tambor) is transgender.
