Encore telecasts of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" have finished #1 in total viewers for the late-night ratings week of May 30-June 3 versus ABC's NBA-boosted "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
In adults 18-49, Fallon (0.70 rating for the week) finished in a virtual tie with Kimmel (0.71), who benefited from a high-rated Thursday
NBA FINALS overrun and aired originals on three of the week's four measured nights. Kimmel aired a Wednesday encore and all of the week's Monday late-night results were excluded due to the Memorial Day holiday.
Total-viewer averages for the week were 2.655 million for Fallon and 2.637 million for Kimmel. Fallon also ranked #1 for the week in adults 25-54 (with a 0.98 rating vs. Kimmel's 0.89).
At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" encores outscored CBS's rebroadcasts of "Late Late Show with James Corden" in every key measure and topped ABC's "Nightline" in the two shows' head-to-head 12:30-to-1 a.m. half-hour in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
Fallon and Meyers originals have outdelivered their
ABC and
CBS time-period competition every week this season in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.
