TODAY's Kathie Lee & Hoda to Broadcast From Charleston, SC 5/2 & 3

Kathie Lee and Hoda bid farewell to NYC and say "hey y'all" to Charleston, SC! The fourth hour of TODAY takes the show on the road and broadcasts from Charleston Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3. Kathie Lee and Hoda encourage viewers to practice their southern hospitality and join them on a Lowcountry adventure.

While in Charleston, Kathie Lee and Hoda will explore the Palmetto City's charming sights with a tour of City Market and a carriage ride through the historic streets. The ladies will search for the perfect "southern gentleman" just after they perfect their shagging technique with Shag Champion Bucky Dudley (the shag = the famous Carolina beach dance). KLG and Hoda will participate in favorite local pastimes including window box design and soul food sampling, and they'll meet some of the local wildlife from the South Carolina Aquarium. Viewers will receive a special southern treat with a performance by musical duo Johnnyswim, married couple AbneR Ramirez and Amanda Sudano. The Citadel Regimental Band & Pipes and the College of Charleston's Gospel Choir will also perform.

Additionally, correspondent Sara Haines will look at Charleston's rich military history with a visit to Joint Base, and she will also check out the Center for Birds of Prey, an avian conservation center.

The fourth hour of "Today" will broadcast two shows from the College of Charleston's Cistern Yard in Charleston, SC on Thursday, May 2. One taped show at 8 a.m. ET and one live show at 10 a.m. ET. Fans and viewers are encouraged to watch the show tapings with Kathie Lee and Hoda. To be a part of the outdoor audience, fans in Charleston should arrive no later than 7 a.m. outside the Main Gate at Porter's Lodge on George Street.

Don Nash is the executive producer of TODAY (Monday - Friday, 7 - 11 a.m.), and Tammy Filler is the senior producer overseeing the fourth hour.
