TNT's Monday night dramas have dramatically increased their premiere numbers with the first wave of time-shifted viewing. The season 3 premiere of Major Crimes has climbed to 6.8 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, a +4% increase over last summer's season premiere and a +32% increase over the season 3 premiere's Live + Same Day delivery of 5.2 million viewers. Meanwhile, TNT's new crime drama Murder In The First has grown to 5.2 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, a +37% increase over the premiere telecast's Live + Same Day delivery of 3.8 million viewers.
Last week, TNT's summer slate got off to a roaring start with the hit series Major Crimes scoring basic cable's #1 scripted season premiere for the year-to-date and Murder In The First ranking as the #1 new series launch on basic cable so far this year.
In key demos, the season 3 premiere of Major Crimes has so far garnered 1.6 million adults 18-49 in Live + 3 (+31% vs. Live + Same Day) and 2.1 million adults 25-54 (+35%). The show grew its Live + 3 delivery of adults 25-54 by +2% compared to the season 2 premiere. Murder In The First has chalked up more than 1.1 million adults 18-49 in Live + 3 delivery (+42% vs. Live + Same Day) and 1.5 million adults 25-54 (+43%).
