TNT Tips Off NBA Season with Celtics vs Knicks Game on Christmas Day

TNT will tip off the 2011-12 NBA season with a Christmas Day game featuring the Boston Celtics @ New York Knicks on Sunday, Dec. 25 at Noon (ET). A special hour-long edition of TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by AutoTrader.com precedes the season's first game at 11 a.m. (ET). The show will feature studio host Ernie Johnson and analysts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, along with the TNT debut of 15-time NBA All-Star and four-time NBA Champion Shaquille O'Neal previewing the day's action. Following the pre-game show, the 2011-12 NBA season will get underway with Paul Pierce and the Celtics visiting Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks at Noon (ET) live from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Marv Albert (play-by-play) and Steve Kerr (analyst) will be courtside calling the action, with Craig Sager reporting.

TNT will serve as the exclusive home for NBA All-Star 2012 and is slated to air all the action on NBA All-Star Friday, NBA All-Star Saturday and the 2012 NBA All-Star Game from Orlando, Feb 24-26.
