TNT has canceled its Jason Lee-led drama "Memphis Beat" after two seasons.

"TNT has decided not to pick up a third season of Memphis Beat," the network said in a statement released to Deadline.com. "The network thanks everyone involved in the production of Memphis Beat for their work on the series, including the great cast and crew. TNT wishes everyone the best."

Last month the cable channel pulled the plug on its Jada Pinkett Smith-led "HawthoRNe," which aired alongside "Beat" on Tuesday nights the past two summers.

Both series were the network's least-watched originals among adults 18-49 this summer, behind only "Men of a Certain Age," which likewise got the hook in July:

millions of viewers (adults 18-49 rating) - series
4.787 (1.6) - Falling Skies
6.636 (1.2) - The Closer
6.377 (1.2) - Rizzoli & Isles
3.288 (0.9) - Leverage
2.639 (0.9) - Franklin & Bash
3.064 (0.7) - Memphis Beat
2.508 (0.7) - HawthoRNe
1.586 (0.4) - Men of a Certain Age
