TNT has ordered a pilot for CLAWS, an hour-long scripted dramedy set in a Southern Florida nail salon. Executive-produced by Le Train Train's Rashida Jones and Will McCormack (Toy Story 4, Celeste and Jesse Forever, A to Z), Claws is from Le Train Train in association with Warner Horizon Television and TNT Original Productions, and is written by co-executive producer Eliot Laurence (Welcome to Me).
Claws is a midnight-dark, wickedly funny meditation on female badness which follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous Florida manicurists in the traditionally male world of organized crime. We will soon find out there is a lot more going on at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon than
SILK wraps and pedicures.
Claws marks Jones' second project for Turner this year. She can currently be seen on TNT's sister network
TBS in the new cop show parody Angie Tribeca, in which she plays the title role and serves as producer.
