On Sunday, July 18 at 10 and 10:30 PM ET/PT, TLC premieres two back-to-back episodes of STRANGE SEX, a six-part series exploring all things sex. From an Iraq war veteran who only experiences pain during intercourse to a former Broadway star and sex educator who learned to "think" herself into having an org*sm, STRANGE SEX profiles mysterious conditions, unusual fetishes and the kinky science behind sexual attraction. With first hand accounts and commentary from medical professionals, each half-hour episode sends viewers on an unrestricted journey into an entirely new world of sex.

As of 2003, 34% of women in the U.S. over the age of 40 are dating younger men. The premiere episode of STRANGE SEX follows 73-year-old Hattie as she searches for sex, love and a life mate in bustling Manhattan. No stranger to romance, Hattie has been dating men in their 30s for over a quarter of a century. Enter Ron, a 33-year-old single father of two who's always dated older women. Despite their staggering age difference, the two have decided to go out on a date. Will Hattie and Ron hit it off?

Throughout the series, STRANGE SEX highlights some of the most atypical sexual encounters, including a man who has a balloon fetish, a woman who tries to have an org*sm during childbirth for the second time, and a couple who welcomes another man into their relationship, sex life, and home. STRANGE SEX also features a candid interview with former Skid Row drummer Phil Varone. As a recovering sex addict who is fresh out of rehab, Varone is finally trying to leave his past behind to start fresh with a new girlfriend.

STRANGE SEX is produced by Sirens Media for TLC.
