Judith Hill will give her original song "Desperation" its television debut this Friday, June 7, when she performs on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." The track is featured on 20 Feet From Stardom: Music From The Motion Picture (Columbia Records), the soundtrack from the compelling new film from award-winning director Morgan Neville, which opens in select theatres on June 14 before expanding in the weeks to follow.
The soundtrack will be available digitally on June 7 via all digital service providers and is currently available for pre-order at Amazon here. It will be released physically on June 18. Hill is featured on three other songs that appear on the 20 Feet From Stardom soundtrack. In addition to penning and performing her own material, Judith - who wrote her first song at the age of four - has backed such artists as the late Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Elton John. Hers is one of the stories told in 20 Feet From Stardom. The film shines the spotlight on the untold true story of the backup singers behind some of the greatest musical legends of the 21st century.
