As first reported by Deadline.com, singer  Adam Levine has sold his second project to NBC.  In July, NBC purchased a karaoke comedy project from Levine after an intense bidding war with other networks. Now, the singing artist has sold a dramatic project to the network. The rock n roll drama is titled 'Awesome Splendor' and is from Parenthood producer and director Lawrence Trilling, who will also write and direct Levine's project.

Trilling created the idea for the show and soon partnered with the Maroon 5 lead singer.  Levine has developed close ties with the NBC network, serving as a judge on its hit series 'The Voice'.  Both of the upcoming projects are set to premiere on the network next fall.

Levine's  karaoke comedy will be penned by Gene Hong, with Jake Kasdan directing and executive producing and Levine and Feldstein executive producing.  The project comes from 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment.
