McCarthy, 41, joined the show this past September following the departures of long-time View co-hosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar. In May, Barbara Walters departed the show to begin her retirement from journalism. Just this week, Walters made a quick return to the ABC show to plug her exclusive interview with the father of the Santa Barbara shooting suspect.
