The 500th episode of the Fox network's THE SIMPSONS earned a 30% increase to its previous score, garnering a 2.6 in adults 18-49 in the ratings. The network's The Cleveland Show (1.2), Napoleon Dynamite (2.0), American Dad (2.2) and a repeat of Bob's Burgers also aired, earning 1.9 rating in adults 18-49 for the night.
Other ratings winners included an overrun of golf's Northern Trust Open which helped CBS dominate the line up with a 2.2 among adults 18-49 and 10.5 million viewers for the night. CBS's 60 Minutes earned a 1.8 in the demo, followed by the season premiere of the 20th season of The Amazing Race (up 4 percent from last February's premiere for a 2.7), The Good Wife (2.2) and CSI: Miami (2.1).
ABC had Sunday night's strongest performance of any network with its airing of 'Once Upon a Time', which pulled a 3.0 rating among adults in its 8:00 p.m. time slot. Ratings for ABC's Desperate Housewives were up from the previous week's series low, earning a 2.2 in the demo, followed by an episode of the struggling drama series Pan Am at a 1.2.
NBC's two-hour season premiere of Celebrity Apprentice topped the competition in adults 18-49 throughout the broadcast, averaging a 2.6 in the demo and jumping from a 2.5 to a 2.8, hour over hour.
