THE PRICE IS RIGHT Announces 5th Annual Nationwide Contestant Search

Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime's #1-rated series and the longest-running game show in television history, has announced participating cities and dates for its fifth annual nationwide contestant search. Those chosen will appear as contestants during the 42nd season of the game show. The contestant search, which already visited the Philadelphia area on June 25, will make stops in the Baltimore, Miami, New York and Pittsburgh markets.

In each market where a casting call is taking place, representatives from the participating local CBS owned or affiliated station will be on hand to interview and videotape contestant hopefuls who are vying for free trips to Los Angeles and guaranteed spots in the studio audience. Two participants will be selected from each market to fly to Los Angeles and attend a taping of the legendary game show, starting in fall 2013. A bidder's spot on Contestants' Row will be guaranteed to one of the two participants, who will learn if they are selected to "come on down" when they hear their name called during the show's taping.
